Countering Smart Meter Industry Propaganda

What is a Smart MeterWith the growing backlash against smart meters, the smart grid industry is stepping up its propaganda campaign with new and recycled YouTube videos, pamphlets, and blog articles favorable to the industry.  For consumers concerned about the risks associated with smart grid technology, it can be hard to get the facts unfiltered by industry biased propaganda.

Earlier this year, SkyVision Solutions received permission to adapt a smart meter consumer awareness video prepared by GRASSROOTS Environmental Education for use at this website.  In the interest of more people having access to unfiltered facts, the video is being re-posted below.

.
The above awareness video was adapted (and enhanced) by SkyVision Solutions from one prepared by GRASSROOTS Environmental Education at:
http://www.grassrootsinfo.org/.  Permission has been received from GRASSROOTS Environmental Education for use of the adapted video at this website.

The original, shorter GRASSROOTS video available in a sharable format is provided below:

Great video to raise awareness. More people need to know. I also recommend http://emfsummit.com/ to see what the experts are saying.

    Excellent remake of the video.

I would like to post to my site.

Do I need to get permission to do so?

    • The use of the “adapted” video was approved for just my site as I used much of their animations and copyrighted “synchronizing music” from a GRASSROOTS sister company called OmniMusic at http://www.omnimusic.com/index.php. I’ve slightly modified the end of video and added an appropriate copyright label, but so far I have not received permission for wider viewership from GRASSROOTS.
